Ramachandra Cloth Showroom opens. Retail as a vocation begins.

Vizag Chapter Begins
Chandana Brothers opens at Jagadamba Centre, Visakhapatnam. Mavuri Venkata Ramana arrives as cashier. Retail at wholesale rates — a concept no one had seen before.

Expansion
Branches open in Hyderabad and Vijayawada. The footprint grows beyond a single city.

Gold Standard Set
CMR enters jewellery. Introduces first 916 hallmark gold in the Telugu states. Transparency in a market that had none.
